Bound volumes<\/h4>\r\nIf you are working with a bound book, we typically work with the Internet Archive located at the University of Toronto to digitize the whole object. \u00a0They have criteria for digitization based on their equipment. Items must be:\r\n
    \r\n \t
  • no larger than 10 inches wide and 13 inches tall (28 x 33 cm), i.e. folio (fo)<\/li>\r\n \t
  • no smaller than 3 x 5 inches (7.5 x 12.8 cm), which is also known as a crown sixteenmo (16o)<\/li>\r\n \t
  • the gutter must be generous enough that you can place a pencil on the page and not obscure the text. Check this at various points in the book to ensure that the page count and tightness of the binding does not preclude digitization of the complete object<\/li>\r\n \t
  • book cannot have any elaborate inserts, folded maps or diagrams<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n
